All Aspects Landscaping Bentleigh
An outdoor space that was both relaxing and functional. We turfed, added ground covers and shrubs for a natural look that would require little upkeep or water.

About the Bentleigh garden
The inspiration for creating this garden was Australia’s native plants in order to attract its indigenous bird population. The Bentleigh family had been looking for an outdoor space to share with their children.
The client wanted a fresh space to play with the children. They needed an expert touch from someone who could turn their backyard into a place full of fun and games for everyone in the family, so they called us!
We met with them one afternoon after work hours and listened intently as they described what it was that made this such an important project for them. After understanding everything about what their goals were, we went over some design options before settling on something really special.

Design
The landscape design revolved around creating a low-maintenance area for the family to play with their children. We used grasses, ground covers and shrubs for a natural look that would require little upkeep or water.

Irrigation
Needed to be low maintenance. We designed a drip line irrigation system and water timers to make sure the garden is always looking healthy.

Landscaping
Involved excavating the area to be landscaped and then laying down Turf before planting trees and shrubs with an irrigation system in place for water drainage purposes

Preparation
We didn’t want to waste any time getting started so we called in the big guns: our bobcat with its powerful excavator arm that can do just about anything you need it too- from leveling ground for new construction or smoothing out rough terrain where there may be some bumps here or there.

When they decided to go ahead with the backyard makeover, it was like a dream come true. The new garden included an enclosed play area filled with soft grassy turf and flower beds for their children.
Turf and Bayside native plants for the Bentleigh landscape job.
We picked Australian natives as the theme to make it low maintenance. We used grasses, ground covers and shrubs for a natural look that would require little upkeep or water. The Bentleigh family accomplished what they wanted – a fun space where the kids can play and have their friends over.
We chose to install turf, as the main covering for the Bentleigh backyard renovation. Turf is durable and comfortable underfoot while still adding a touch of natural beauty.
Earthmoving was required for this job so we got the bobcat on-site, and started leveling the ground to prepare it. We removed tree stumps before smoothing out the site. We also added some edging to contain the turf and create a finish that looks neat all year round.
The turfed garden was a beautiful place to spend time with loved ones. The design incorporated hardy plants such as African daisies and leucadendrons, which bloomed throughout the year in shades of orange, purple, yellow-white. With an irrigation system set up beforehand for low maintenance purposes on this small scale project, it is easy enough to take care of without giving too much thought or effort.
